Matt Jones is refusing to attend public forums for Boulder County Commissioner candidates. After offering an initial date of April 25th to be part of one such forum sponsored by the Boulder County Progressive Coalition and Our Revolution, Jones retracted his offer and stopped returning emails. On May 5 his campaign announced that he would possibly consider attending a candidate forum at some time in the fall.

The public deserves accountability and transparency and we are encouraging people to ask the Senator to participate in open discussion and debate. If Senator Jones is so hesitant to engage the public during the election, how responsive will he be to the community once in office?
